AUSTRALIA, Neolithic, (5500 - 2500 B.C.), Aboriginal sandstone hand axe, of flat oval form, length 120mm, inscribed N.S.Wales Jan. 95, and acquisition number inscribed on reverse. Cutting edge broken and missing, very fine and unusual.

Ex Matthew Rich Collection. Purchased from James Chesterman 1994.
This hand axe was found in New South Wales in January 1895.
