LUXEMBOURG, Josse (Jodok) of Moravia, (1388-1402), silver gans or gros, issue of 1388-97, obv. around +IODOC . mARCh Z:DHS MORAVIE, coat-of-arms in trilobe, rev. around BHDICT . SIT HOm-En DHI . IHV . XPI . mOnETA LUC EHB, long cross pattee, (Weiller 157a). Toned, slight flan crack, old ink number (304) on reverse, otherwise good very fine and scarce.

Ex Dr V.J.A.Flynn Collection and previously Status International Sale 310 (lot 7376).

Tiny human faces can be seen in several of the letters on the obverse and reverse.
