CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 201, Rome mint, (3.324 grams), obv. laureate bust to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. Caracalla naked facing head to left, holding globe and resting on spear, around RECTOR ORBIS, (S.6745, RIC 39a, RSC 541). Off centred re verse, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
