MARCUS AURELIUS AND LUCIUS VERUS, issue restoring the 'Legionary' coinage of Mark Antony, (A.D. 168-169), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 168-9, (3.096 grams), obv. ANT AVG III VIR R P C, galley moving left over waves, rev. ANTONINVS ET VERVS AVG REST, legionary eagle between two standards, LEG VI across, (cf.S.5236, cf.RIC 443, cf.RSC 83 [Mark Antony]). Very fine, extremely rare variant apparently unpublished legend for obverse.
