CONSTANTIUS II, (A.D. 337-361), silver siliqua, Sirmium mint, issued A.D. c.355-361 (2.01 g), obv. laureate bust draped and cuirassed of Constantius II to right, around DN CONSTAN TIVS PF AVG, rev. VOT XXX MVLTIS XXXX within wreath, SIRM in exergue, (S.3997, RIC 68, RSC.342-3u). Flan crack, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 66, lot 3711 and previously Cornelius C. Vermeule III Collection, sold in Triton III (lot 1729 part) for the benefit of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts with his ticket.
