THRACE, (Island off Thrace), Thasos, (after 148 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.138 grams), obv. head of young Dionysos to right, wreathed with ivy and band across forehead, rev. Herakles naked standing to left, holding club, lion skin over left arm, to right **[H]RAKLEOUS*, to left **SWTHROS, below **QASIWN, MH monogram to left, (cf.S.1759, SNG Cop. 1040-1045). Bent, off centred, good metal, nearly very fine.
