CONSTANTINE IV, (668-685), solidus, Constantinople mint, Class III, issued 674-681, (4.392 grams), obv. helmeted three-quarter cuirassed bust to right, with frontal plume, holding spear and shield, dN C A NUSP around, rev. Cross potent on three steps, between Heraclius and Tiberius, Officina A, around VICTO[RA] AVGU A, CONOB in exergue, (cf.S.1154, DOC (8a), T.16.). Weakly struck on face of Heraclius on reverse, otherwise extremely fine, rare variant with mint bloom.
