DOMITIAN, as Caesar under Vespasian, (A.D. 81-96), gold aureus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 73, (6.672 grams), obv. laureate head of Domitian to right, around CAESAR AVG F DOMIT COS II, rev. Domitian on horseback prancing to left hand raised, human head sceptre in other hand, (S.2627, RIC V232, C.663). Slightly double struck on the reverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very rare.
