GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), AE sestertius, (20.61 g), obv. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, laureate draped and cuirassed bust to right of Gordian III, rev. P M TR P V COS II P P, Apollo seated left holding branch resting hand on lyre, SC in exergue, (S.8732, RIC 303a, C.262). Green patination, very fine.
