ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 219, (3.00 g), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped to right, around IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around VICTOR ANTONINI AVG, Victory running right holding wreath and palm, (cf.S.7553, RIC 156, RSC 289a) (illustrated); silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 219-20, (4.41 g), obv. radiate bust of Elagabalus draped and cuirassed to right, around IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around SALVS ANTONINI AVG, Salus standing partly to right, holding snake across body and feeding it cake, (S.7498, RIC 138, RSC 254); Julia Paula (wife of Elagabalus), (A.D. 220), silver denarius, (3.09 g), Rome mint, obv. draped bust of Julia Paula to right, around IVLIA PAVLA AVG, rev.
