MACRINUS, (217-218 A.D.), silver denarius, Rome Mint, (3.09 g), obv. laureate bust right of Macrinus bearded, draped and cuirassed, around IMP C M OPEL SEV MACRINVS AVG around, rev. P M TR P II COS P P around, Annona, standing to half left, head to left, holding two corn ears and cornucopiae, at her feet modius filled with corn-ears, (S.7340, RIC 26, BMC 44, RSC 47a). Light golden toning, nearly extremely fine.
