HIGHLANDS SOCIETY MEDAL FOR EGYPT, 1801 (BHM.512). Engraved on edge 'On choumun Chaeleach D'on Fhreiceadan Dubh Na XLII AT' (From the London Highland Society to the Black Watch or 42nd Regt). Nearly extremely fine.

Ex.Ross Sutton Collection. It was the 42nd Foot who rescued General Abercromby when he was wounded in the Battle of Alexandria.
