SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Laodicea mint, issued A.D. 199 (3.40 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around L SEPT SEV AVG IMP XI PART MAX, rev. around AEQVITATI AVGG, Aequitas standing to left, holding scales and cornucopiae, (S.6259, RIC 500, RSC 21). Toned, nearly very fine.
