AUGUSTUS AS OCTAVIAN, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver quinarius, Emerita mint, issued 25-23 B.C. by P.Carisius legatus pro praetore, (1.57 g), obv. Octavian bare head to right AVGVST behind, all within linear circle, rev. P CARISI LEG around, Victory standing to right crowning trophy, (S.1642, RIC 1a, BMC 293, RSC 386). Toned, banker's mark on cheek, otherwise very fine and very scarce.
