AUSTRALIAN JOINT STOCK BANK, one pound printer's proof, uniface, black and white, on card, Sydney, 18-, imprint of Perkins, Bacon & Co, London, Patent Hardened Steel Plate, 'May 3rd 1853' pencilled in lower marginn, SPECIMEN stamped in black at signatures reserve (MVR.1b). Glue marks on back corners, otherwise extremely fine and rare.
