ITALY, Kingdom of Sicily, Roger II (1105-1154), issued 1130-1138, AE half follaro, Messina, copper coinage, obv. octagon in the centre of a cross, star in centre, rev. Arabic legend in six lines as a star around circle, (MEC 221-225A, Spahr 79, Biaggi 1224); William I (1154-1168), AE follis fraction, Messina mint, obv. REX/W around Kufic script, rev. bust of Virgin and child, (MEC 286-289A, Spahr 99, Biaggi 1226). Fine - very fine in packets described. (2)
