Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy III Euergetes, (246-222 B.C.), AE 42, (64.79 g), Alexandria mint, obv. head of Zeus-Ammon right, wearing tainia, rev. Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, cornucopia to left, monogram between legs, **PTOLEMAIOU BASILEWS* around, (S.7814, Sv.964, BMC 87-88, SNG Cop.171-2). Has been cleaned, some surface pitting, very fine and scarce.
