IONIA, Ephesos, (48-27 B.C.), AE 24, (10.64 g), obv. bust of Artemis to right, draped wearing stephane, bow and quiver behind, dotted border, rev. long torch behind, forepart of kneeling stag to right looking back, below **MH[NOFI]LO*C, above left A, either side of stag's neck E **F*, (S.4413, BMC 180 [Pl.XI, 7], cf.SNG von Aulock 1870). Attractve dark green patina, slightly off centred on the obverse, otherwise good fine, a rare type.
