MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.12 g), "Babylon" mint, issued 311-305 B..C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, W**F* monogram and M under throne, to right **ALEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6713, Price 3599, BMC 3599, M.670). Bright, nearly very fine.
