THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (305-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.77 g), Magnesia mint, issued 297/6-282/1 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena Nikephoros enthroned to left, supporting Nike, transverse spear behind, complex monogram in wreath to extreme left, **S* in field inner left, plant like object on throne, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMACO*, (cf.S.6814, Thompson 102 [see also footnote 1], Meydancikkale -, Armenak -, M.302). Bright, extremely fine and very rare.
