LUCIUS VERUS, (161-169 A.D.), sestertius (AE 32-33mm), (28.10 g), issued AD Dec 164 - Aug 165, obv. L AVREL VERVS AVG ARMENICACVS laureate head of Lucius Verus to right, rev. around TR POT V IMP II COS II, across S - C, Mars helmeted, naked except for cloak floating behind him, advancing right, holding transverse spear in right hand and trophy over left shoulder in left hand, (cf.S.5376, BMCRE IV p.585, 1253; C.182; RIC III p.325, 1420). Good very fine, minor surface roughness, rare.
