P M TR POT XX COS VI PP around a laurel wreath enclosing a large S C, (S.3243 [AE as], RIC 659, C.286); Galerius Maximian, as Caesar, (A.D. 305-311), AE folles, Antioch mint, issued A.D. 302-3, (10.03 g), obv. GAL VAL MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES, laureate head to right, rev. GENIO POPV LI ROMANI, Genius standing left with patera and cornucopiae, ANT* in exergue, **G* in right field, (S.14381, RIC 57b). First with mottled patination, fine - good very fine, both scarce. (2)
