TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 14-37, (3.86 grams), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around [TI CAES]AR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, (S.1763, RIC 30, BMC 48). Slightly off centre, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very scarce.

Ex Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 51 (lot 2286).
Of Biblical importance as the issue is often described as the Tribute Penny (Mark 12: 14-17).
