C. MAMILIUS LIMETANUS, (c.82 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.84 g), obv. Mercury bust to right, caduceus behind, S above, rev. Ulysses walking to right, his dog before, C. MAMIL behind, LIMETAN before, (S.272, Cr.362/1, Syd.741, B.Mamilia 6). Serrated edge, nearly extremely fine, very scarce.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 62 (lot 2394) and previously from Christie's, London, March 7, 1985 (lot 42 part).
