HERRENIUS (C.108-107 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.85 g), obv. diademed head of Pietas to right, PIETAS behind, control letter off flan, rev. one of the Catanaean brothers running right, bearing his father on his shoulders on left M HERENNI downwards, (S.185, Cr.308/1a, Syd.567). Lightly toned, porous, very fine, rare.
