LETTERS AND MEMOIRS OF THE LATE SGT HAROLD RICHARD CLAY, re-written and edited by his sister Alma (Mrs Everard Thiele), 1928, 103pp, with brown suede cover and gold blocked title, printed on title page 'For Private Circulation Only', photo of Sgt Clay at front. A few areas of minimal foxing, otherwise very fine and scarce.

Together with newspaper cutting relating details of a letter received by a Doncaster councillor advising of the death and service history of Harold Clay who was a resident of Doncaster, a suburb of Melbourne, Vic.

Harold Richard Clay, No 2957, 53rd Battery, 5th Division Australian Field Artillery; born 18Feb1894; Enl.10Jul1915; Camped at Seymour 19Aug1915; WIA 31Jul1917 at Passchendale; Died at 32nd Casualty Clearing Station, France 04Aug1917; Buried in the Brandhock Military Cemetery No.2.
