AUSTRALIA, WWII New Guinea/Bougainville maps and documents, includes large, double-sided, printed maps/photomaps, XIV Corps Hasty Terrain Maps, 1944, for Torokina, Torokina River, Magine Islands, all 1st edition, and Upper Sava River, 2nd edition; another large paper map being a copy of Aitape-Wewak Campaign 1944-45, 2/6 Aust Cav (Commando) Regt, incorporating a Roll of Honour for various Commando Squadrons; GSI 2 Aust Corps various Weekly Intelligence Summaries, all marked 'Secret', one with hand-written in one corner, 'Capt Jensen for information'; The Katoomba at Sea news sheet 15 May 45; Xmas 1944 New Guinea locally printed cartoon sheet; one page hand-written letter in pidgin English; news cutting re Australian Commandos on Bougainville Island; three different reprints of articles for problems relating to Malaria and Encephalitis in New Guinea and Australia & Australian Pacific Territories. Mostly fine - very fine for age. (lot)
