THE BANK OF AUSTRALASIA, uniface black and white printer's proof on paper, ten pounds, Brisbane, 18.., imprint of Perkins, Bacon & Co. London, Patent Hardened Steel Plate, '27th August 1860' added in pencil in lower margin, SPECIMEN stamped below in Manager reserve (MVR.1c). A repaired 4.5cm tear top left corner, part missing and blunted corners at top, otherwise extremely fine and very rare.
