SOLD $200

CHINA, Yunnan Province, silver three (five) stamped remittance ingot as a five taels sycee ingot or saddle pack of three blocks of stamps, probably pre Qing Dynasty, (163 g), (for type cf.Cribb 759-1007). Bright, very fine, rare.

Two bars of stamps each side are the same. However they do not appear to be an official assayer's marks. The two wings of the ingot lack Chinese characters. The weight is under the usual range of these sycee ingots (170-190g), although several are noted by Cribb to be in the range from 153-169g.

All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
