ABBASID CALIPHATE, al-Muhtadi (A.H. 255-6), (A.D. 869-870) al Mu'tamid, (A.H. 256-279), (A.D. 870-892), gold dinar, mule of two caliphs, (4.53 g), al-Ahwaz mint, A.H. 256 = A.D. 870, with names of Amir Al-Mu-Minin and Al-Mutamid 'Ala Allah on obverse and al-Muhtadi Billah on reverse, (A.237/A.239). Nearly extremely fine and very rare.
