SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-150 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.62 g), Antioch mint, obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged tritoness, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **DHMHTRIOU*, HP monogram in left field, (S.7014, SC 1638,1i, SNG Spaer -, SMA 97). Traces of hoard patination, otherwise very fine or better.
