Citation: George Watt Dempster - residing at 10 Kardima Road, Mosman. At about 9.30am on 19th October, 1939, Dempster was a passenger on the Sydney Ferries steamer "Kosciusko" from Clifton Gardens to Sydney. He saw a girl fall overboard from the Manly Ferry "Dee Why" on the passage from Manly to Sydney.
