ISLAMIC GLASS WEIGHTS, glass weight light blue green in colour impressed into the glass a circular Arabic legend on the obverse, Abbasid or Fatamid period 7th-12th century A.D., for use in Egypt, thickness 5mm, weight (5.99 g) = 31 qirit, (cf.Munz Zentrum, Auction Sale XXVII, November 8, 1979 [lot 4229]); another (2.89 g), 20mm diameter thickness 5mm, featured with a portait as the central motif (Homer?), Of Greek or Roman style of 2-5th century A.D., (a denarius weight of early 3rd century ?). Very fine, rare. (2)
