FAUSTA, daughter of Maximianus and wife of Constantine, issued A.D. 326, billon centenionalis, Trier mint, (2.97 g), obv. diademed draped bust to right, around FLAV MAX FAVSTA AVG, rev. Fausta standing facing head to left, holding Constantine II and Constantius II, around, SPES REIPVBLICAE, in exergue PTR crescent and dot, (S.16560, RIC 484, C.17). Extremely fine, a superb coin, rare as such.

Ex D.J.Foster Collection and previously from I.S. Wright, Sale 94 (lot 340).
