NUMERIAN, (A.D. 283-284), billon antoninianus, Tripolis mint, (4.09 g), obv. radiate bearded draped bust to right, rev. Numerian standing to right holding sceptre, receiving globe from Jupiter, VIRTVS AVGG around, star over TR over XXI, (S.12257, RIC 470, C.113); Aurelian, (A.D. 270-275), base silver antoninianus, Ticinum mint, (3.78 g), obv. radiate bearded cuirassed bust to right, rev. Sol walking to left between two captives, holding globe, SOLI INVICTO around, TXXT in exergue, (S.11614, RIC 154, C.234). First cleaned even dark tone, otherwise good very fine, second with silvering extremely fine. (2)
