JULIA SOAEMIAS, mother of Elagabalus, (c.A.D.218-222), silver denarius, (3.32 g), Rome mint, issued 220-222, obv. draped bust to right, IVLIA SOAEMIAS AVG, rev. VENVS CAELESTIS, Venus seated to left, holding apple and sceptre, child at feet, (S.7720, RIC 243, RSC 14, BMC 55). Toned, nearly extremely fine and scarce.

Ex D.J.Foster Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 45 (lot 1896) the Richard A.Williams Collection.
