AELIUS, Caesar, (A.D. 136-138), AE As, Rome mint, issued A.D. 137, (11.03 g), obv. bare head of Aelius to right, around L AELIVS CAESAR, rev. around TR POT COS II, Spes advancing to left, holding flower and lifting skirt, (S.3993, RIC 1067, BMC 1931, C.61) (illustrated); Sabina, wife of Hadrian, (died A.D.136-7), AE as, Rome mint, (9.89 g), issue 129, obv. draped bust to right of Sabina, with hair plait down neck, around SABINA AVGVSTA HADRIANI AVG P P, rev. CONCOR DIA AVG around, Concordia seated to left, holding patera and resting on statue of Spes, (S.3944, RIC 1037, C.19 var.). Both fine, second with corrosion on the reverse. (2)
