NERVA, (A.D. 96-98), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 97, (2.99 g), obv. laureate head of Nerva to right, around IMP NERVA CAES AVG P M TR POT, rev. around COS III PATER PATRIAE, sacrificial implements, simpulum, sprinkler, ewer and lituus, (S.3023, RIC 24, RSC 48). Surface tooling, otherwise fine/very fine, scarce.

Ex D.J.Foster Collection and previously from Spink Noble Sale 43 (lot 1955).
