ITALY, Genoese Colonies, Caffa, (c.1265-1475), silver asper (1427-1433), obv. castle motif within border and legend, rev. tamga and pellet, within linear border and Arabic legend with the name Mohammed Khan, (Schl., Pl.XVII, 25 var; Lunardi, Colonie, 11ff); another a copper follaro with countermark of castle, (Schl., - [cf.Pl.XVII, 36]; Retowski, -; Lunardi, Colonie, -). Weak in places first fine, second good. (2)
