CHINA, a check token for Shanghai, The China General Omnibus Company, 3 cents, nd (but 1939-1943), obv. bus right and below the inscription in three lines CHINA THE GENERAL / OMNIBUS CO . / LTD, rev. in four concentric circles the value 3 C, struck in aluminum 24.5mm (3.01 g). Good very fine and very rare.
Lecompte lists only this type with the bus left (see The secret of old Shanghai bus tokens from 3rd issue (1939) : http://china-mint.info/forum/index.php?topic=6636.0). A similar example was in the Maison Palombo Auction of 13 December 2014 (lot 272 realised 1200 SFr.).
