SLIDE RULE, made by W&G of xylonite on wood, c1939-45; brass telescope(32cm extended) two draws, no maker's name; cut throat razors (2) one by T.R. Cadman & Sons, Sheffield, model Bengall, the other by Invicta, both in boxes of issue; cigarette cases (2) both in nickel silver, one with maker's ticket 'Aristocrat'; various metal buttons and studs (11). Very good - very fine. (17)

The slide rule was made in Australia by W&G, a wholly owned subsidiary of White and Gillespie. W&G was formed in the 1930s and during world war II war it started making slide rules.
