ANCIENT MARINER'S SOCIETY MEDAL, hand crafted in form of a silver stylised cross (45mm), with suspender, obverse, inscribed, A.M.S. with anchor below and the date July 8th 1877, reverse, inscribed with a quote from Act III, Scene II, of William Shakespeare's famous play, Henry VIII, 'Still in thy right hand/carry gentle peace./To silence envious tongues./Be just, and fear not'. Nearly very fine and scarce.
