BYZANTINE, various rulers and uncertain denominations from the Cherson mint, Michael III (842-867), (S.1699) (2); Basil I, (867-886), (S.1717, 1719, 1720), (76); Leo VI, (886-912), (S.1731, 1734), (2); Constantine VII and Romanus I, (913-959), (S.1770, 1771, 1772); Romanus I, (920-944) & Romanus II, (959-963), (S.1767, 1775); John, (969-976), (S.1794); Nicephorus II, (963-969), (S.1784). Very good - nearly very fine, mostly scarce, most with soil patination. (18)
