C. FONTEIUS, (114-113 B.C.), silver denarius, (3.91 g), obv. Janus head, T in left field, * to right, rev. galley with pilot and three rowers, C.FONT ligated above, ROMA in exergue, (S.167, Cr.290/1, Syd.555, RSC Fonteia 1). Some hoard encrustation and horn silver, otherwise very fine and scarce.
