NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck on a Charles IIII Mexico City eight reales, 1803FT (Mira-Noble 1803/8; dies B/6: I/3). Light grey toned, very fine, countermarks better and clear, very rare in this condition.

Ex R.W.Farman, R.Jewell, S.J.Wilson and W.J.Noble collections, later in a G.K.Gray sale, 26 February 1971 (lot 220), Spink Australia Sale 7 (lot 56) and Sale 19 (lot 2430).
