SOVEREIGN SCALES, c.1909, brass, 75 x 65mm, by J.H. Collins (Patent No.16635, 21 Dec 09), Balance bears circular positions and slots for modern Sovereign and Half Sovereign to verify diameter and thickness, together with weights attached to end of beams to balance against a legal sovereign and half sovereign. Fine, rare and unusual.
