PRIMITIVE MONEY, Africa, Nigeria?, uncertain area currency, bell money as a cast iron bell with handle shaped like a boat with one ball as ringers, length 23.5cms, external width 10.5 cm., overall height 13 cm, weight 1,375 g, (Opitz -). Very fine and rare.
This iron bell form functioned as an animal bell with its ring for attachment, it could also have been used as currency.
