BUKKULLA VINEYARDS, McIntyre River, Inverell, no value currency note, but written two pounds no shillings sterling on account, dated January 18 1871 (date written), No.37, watermarked, imprint of 'De Cruchy & Leigh, Sc, Sydney', arms in centre, on front Pay Brodie (handwritten) or Bearer the sum of Two Pounds no shillings stg and to lower left 'Messrs Wyndham, Dalwood Vineyards, Branxton N.S.W.', signed by Hugh Wyndham. Note is cross cancelled, handwritten 'Paid Jan 28/71, rectangular ornamental border, blue on white rubber stamped at the CBC Inverell. (Vort Ronald type 3 [p.243 & 25] illustrates this example in Vort Ronald..Shinplaster..p.25, and described as type 3). Missing portion of left side, thinned in places and with a few holes, otherwise very fine.
