THE FEDERAL BANK OF AUSTRALIA LIMITED, one pound, Sydney, 1st June 1891, No.57227 (MVR p.163 and note number included in Vort Ronald Private Banknote Pedigrees p.165). Very good and extremely rare, only known issue with this domicile in private hands.
Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 71 (lot 2993) and Sale 49 (lot 2989).
Only three issued notes for one pound of this bank are known in private hands and two are one pound notes domiciled in Melbourne. This bank was not represented in the Nicholson Collection.
