THE CITY OF MELBOURNE BANK LIMITED, Melbourne, one pound, dated 1st Jany 1875, printed on paper but stuck down on cardboard, not numbered, not watermarked, no imprint, signed by two signatures, (This note illustrated in Vort Ronald, Australian Private Banknote Pedigrees p.125, Vort-Ronald p.125-6 for background). Fair and apparently unique for type.
